Hot salt bluing is a true electrochemical conversion process that transforms the surface level of steel into a form of controlled rust called Magnetite. In order for this conversion to occur, you need a tank capable of holding water that will rest around 290 degrees F and an alkolai salt mixture containing Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Nitrate, and Potassium Nitrate. It is a little known fact that the color your firearm will turn is based far less on the content of the salt bath and far moreso on the content of your gun!

In 1823, the Texas Rangers were unofficially created by Stephen F Austin, and formally became a division meant to protect the Texas border in 1835. Throughout history, they were involved in a number of well known events, such as stopping the assassination of President William Taft and the aprehension of criminals such as John Wesley Hardin and Bonnie and Clyde. Needless to say, they were a tough group!

Y'all, we just got the COOLEST gun in, and wanted to share it with you - a commemorative edition Thompson 1927A5! We are lucky enough to be doing the entire project, lock, stock, and barrel!

When you're getting ready to send us your gun, please be sure to include ALL pieces - even all of those tiny little screws! This allows us not only that we are able to remove damage from, restore, and protect every possible bit of your firearm, but it also ensures that your gun comes back to you with a nice, even blue throughout! 

Recently there has been debate about what retailers should do in the case of an FBI NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) check delay.  When a gun is transferred or sold, the person receiving the gun is obligated to have it sent to an FFL, or Federal Firearms Licensee.  The FFL then has a transfer form filled out by the person receiving the gun and calls NICS with that information.  

Under the new New York "un"SAFE Act, your handgun ownership has now been made public! If you don't want this information to be known to the general public, you need to Opt Out! The deadline was May 15th but it's not too late! You can still Opt Out and have your records sealed. Print out this form, fill it out and take or mail it to your county court house.
